Hmmm. I've got a '95 250cc Yamaha Virago Twin.

Cost me $1500 in like-new condition w' 2800 miles on the clock.
Is now dressed out and often gets mistaken for an 883.
Has never been mistaken for a scooter.
18HP and a good gear ratio curve.
Goes like a violated Ape.
Gets 80mpg.

We bought the Kymco 15 years ago to take on the back of our class-A RV instead of towing a car. We went with a 50cc scooter because Maryland had just changed laws so that a licensing, registration, and insurance were not necessary. A few years ago, they changed it so that you need a registration sticker and insurance.

Since I moved a few years ago, I no longer have any need for it. It is fun to ride. It goes about 40 MPH stock, and you can park just about anywhere. The problem now is that I live right off of a divided highway that has a posted speed limit of 50 MPH, but traffic moves at 65 MPH most of the time. No good for a scooter that is maxed out at 40.

once again, we are dancing around politics .... not wise to try and see how far it can be pushed

You honor, I was merely stating a point of data and claim innocence of said political charges.
