I looked like Homer Simpson early in my married life driving to Florida for vacation. But, a wise man passed on a secret of traveling with kids. Hand each child a roll of quarters prior to starting your long journey. That's $10 each. Let them know every time they utter those nerve racking words you take back a quarter. What ever money they have left when you reach your destination is theirs to keep and spend as they wish. It only took a couple of quarters handed back to me for the brood to catch on. Once I learned this trick we had quite peaceful traveling experiences.
Maybe, Elio should offer a similar cash incentive to quiet the malcontents.
How long ago did you sign up for the ride? My 6 + year ride is becoming suddenly strained and somewhat uncomfortable. I know we will be getting to our destination shortly. I hope our expectations are met upon arrival. It's been a long journey for some.I signed up for a long ride. Still traveling to the destination.
That's a fairly long ride too. Elio's success isn't big stuff. I am not at all concerned about the money but rather the investment of personal interest, support, and energy. I'm not even stressed or worried, just surprised by and getting weary of the BS in the last few miles of the journey. My ride has only been half of yours. I never invest money that I can afford to lose. As I get older and wiser in life , these setbacks become less worrisome.
I have lived over 75% of my life. With only 25% more to go I only sweat the big stuff. This is not big stuff. There are truly a whole bunch more things that could make my life uncomfortable.
