So I just called up my local Pep Boy's and asked if they had 175/65 R15 studded snow tires, and to my delight.... You would have to order them but they are Continental. Another plus was the tire salesman I talked to was fully aware of the Elio and that they were going to be their service representative. Around $80+

I was hoping to see giant posters with Elio is coming or at least something! Send your idea to EM and see what they think; marketing would be the best department to send to.

Obviously, I just thought Pep Boys might have sent a memo to all the stores in case the employees got any questions about Elio.

I spoke with Victor at esecarbon.com about cost of carbon wheels as an option. The must haves make them out of reach (and in fact cost more than the Elio itself) but as an option, some may add them later. Victor hadn't heard of Elio, but was quite impressed after a quick search during the call. I suggested he contact Elio and maybe list them on the configurator to see if any interest in them exist. He said they would have to sell at least 15 sets to cover cost of engineering and tooling. We'll see...

Looks like the smallest wheel they make is an 18" wheel, 9" wide.
The Elio wheels are 15" with a 4 bolt pattern; that would be really tricky to fit in a 5 spoke wheel; and I think the Elio wheels are only 4"?
They would have to come up with a whole new wheel with only 4 spokes.
That would be a ground up design.
