PB --- I think what you're seeing is a trick of the lighting.
The P5 has 15 inch wheels with fat little tires (all the better to ward off potholes and road debris).

I spoke with Victor at esecarbon.com about cost of carbon wheels as an option. The must haves make them out of reach (and in fact cost more than the Elio itself) but as an option, some may add them later. Victor hadn't heard of Elio, but was quite impressed after a quick search during the call. I suggested he contact Elio and maybe list them on the configurator to see if any interest in them exist. He said they would have to sell at least 15 sets to cover cost of engineering and tooling. We'll see...
