One of the recent news releases about the Elio said that the wheels were going to be 4 lug instead of five.
To me that indicates that maybe they are going to a 14" rim.
Hope my BS Potenzas 165 65 14 LRR tires will fit. The best for mpg's.
14" alum wheels would do the trick also.

Here's info on the currently specified tires. TireRack.com Conti ProContact GX Not a great OEM tire, but very few ever are.

Seems the Conti's wear quick but this is on much heavier cars. They said 15" wheels but things could change.

My smart came OEM with 3-lug 15 inch wheels. Elio could go with those to save on costs (and they came with better ContiPro Contact tires; mine lasted 75,000 miles).
