Paul Elio already stated that 100 preproduction models has been delayed to Q3. Either the reporter got it wrong, or it's the Elio team still not being on the same page.

Perhaps it is a "delay" from 4th Q 2016 to 3rd Q 2017 rather than a full one year delay? Of coarse ALL PROJECTIONS ARE TENUOUS!

There was a lot of leftovers in the factory that they could reuse; plus they have been working on setting it up for a while now.

Even with the tools in house, there has to be time for setup and testing to make sure the parts integrate as expected. But I really have no idea of the lead time for that.

I wouldn't advertise my lemonade for years with missed estimated delivery dates and tv commercials all over the country over and over, until I had some sugar lined out, although good point of view ty. I get narrow minded and this was my tunnel vision if you build it they will come...in mass numbers, I believe reservations are slowing because of skepticism, thanks for your thought ty.

I guess it depends on what your definition of "for a while" is...I know for a fact that less than 1 year ago they were saying production would begin 4th qtr of 2016...
