That's out of over 2000 members.
Hardly an overwhelming number.
I've mentioned two polls numerous times in this thread.lio said:No, I don't think so...
I've mentioned two polls numerous times in this thread.
Apparently you both missed the other previous poll completely.
It has 235 individuals that voted.
Out of 2000 or so members, yes, I would say between the two polls it's an impressive, if not overwhelming, number.
I seem to remember that average poll participation percentages are a whole lot less.
No matter how hard some try to spin it otherwise, I'd say it's a pretty good representation of the present customer base.
Now explain to me again why the present customer base is so skewed that it couldn't possibly resemble any future customer base.
.
BTW, the tally of the other poll is:
Elgin yes = 26.8%
Elgin no = 73.2%
That being said...
Guys, I'm really not trying to dis' your (our) 'leader' for no reason.
I'm $1000, and more, invested and supportive of the concept, the philosophy and the man.
However, my SOP dictates that I never get so sucked in that I drink too much of the kool-aid.
It also dictates that I occasionally step back and give the big picture a good hard look.
Oh yeah, I did mention blindfolds and earplugs only in reference to EM didn't I? Sorry 'bout that.
Contrary to the overwhelming vibe I'm feeling from these responses, no-one is infallible.
Taking that good hard look, I'm seeing that these guys have shot themselves in the foot numerous times.
All-believing devotees notwithstanding, will they straighten up and do what's good for EM..?
Or continue down this expensive new path of snafus and self-indulgence?

Even though someone already posted the same, I do appreciate that.Taking the dash thing pretty hard, huh. I'm just glad Paul's dad wasn't into Mickey! Now THAT would make a Goofy gauge cluster.

Ummm...And your objective, other than to make people unhappy and feed your ego, is...........??

Ah, no, that doesn't really ring true.Last time I checked it was still customary, and usually a quite successful strategy, for companies to decide what their products will be like, as opposed to some central committee ruled by a majority making the relevant decisions.
New, but I give him a polite, take on trolling. Hey PE owns it-,you no like buy something that meets your needs and expectations, if the dash gets you so cranked, when you get your E, tape over it, replace it, remove it and create a large glove box (why do they still call it that?)Ummm...
I guess you also missed my suggestion about a reasonable win-win compromise too.
It's a few posts back (in both poll threads) If you want to take a look.
"And your objective, other than to make people unhappy and feed your ego, is...........??"
Ah Jees. Now we're down to attempting to put cheap-shot turn-about spins on this whole thing.
William, you must be just about out of reasonable arguments to have to resort to that.
However, I think you just made my case.
Under the circumstances, and especially considering the fact that the majority of people who've expressed an opinion (voted) about the Elgin dash have so far indicated a dislike for it, shouldn't that exact question be directed at PE and EM and not at me?
I mean really. Read your question again in that light.
And yeah, I'd actually gladly take your example over the Elgin if it were the only other choice.
I like their VHX-1017 a lot better though.
