The above picture showing the P5 with the front wheel openings fully enclosed, was completely misleading. The actualy P5 has the wheel openings still unenclosed.

Why was this completely misleading picture released?

Quick reality check.........
The first picture was posted 8/5/2015 and was what started this thread since it appeared different than other pictures of P5.
( I copied it from Elio's Facebook and started this thread )
The picture of the shock does not show the body color as red so we can't tell anything about the state of completion when it was taken.
We can however wait 'till Thursday and get many questions answered.

yes, they do. which is an additional cost to use one. I don't know if you can engineer around that problem.

The latest e-mail you're talking about was indeed from the P5- while still in the building stage! If you wait 5-6 more days, we're all be saturated with pictures of the COMPLETED P5 from the LA Auto Show!

I have friends who drive twin turbo charged Ford ECO Boost F150's .... I've never heard them mention having to buy premium fuel

An undereducated thought here -- do torque-y engines like truck engines (and the Elio) have lower octane requirements when turbocharged, thus permitting regular fuel? One of you gear heads will be able to answer this, I'm sure. Either way, as my signature has said since I signed up, I absolutely do want the turbo version, and will retrofit if need be to get it!

Is cost a consideration? I know there are small turbine engines that would easily fit (and produce 100-200+HP) that would be perfect for a high performance serial hybrid drivetrain.
