It was obviously a rendering, but one would think a CAD rendering of the P5 based on finalized engineering specs, not just some WAG artist concept rendering.

The above picture showing the P5 with the front wheel openings fully enclosed, was completely misleading. The actualy P5 has the wheel openings still unenclosed.

Why was this completely misleading picture released?
Have you seen the completed P5 to verify the wheel openings are in fact open and not fully enclosed as the CAD drawing illustration?

That is what the second picture (it is an actual photograph) is. It is a photograph of the suspension looking into the opening from the outside. If the covering were there, we would not see the spring, shock, etc. This is from the latest email and that photograph is of the P5.

If you're putting a turbo on it, you'll be putting your boot into it just for fun, and your gas mileage will plummet, say to 50 mpg on the highway. Damn! But what a hoot! I'm a sports car guy from as close to day 1 as I could pull it off. None, with the exception of my Marcos, were as safe as the Elio. But if you're not spinning up the turbo, the mileage should be pretty darn good. I wonder if it's possible to have a manual turbo cut-out, so that if you want to drive for mileage you can, and if you want to boogie, you can switch it on and dance.
Don't most turbocharged engines require premium fuel?

Yes, but it's not necessarily what we will see at the P5 unveil, perhaps the photo was snapped with the enclosure/cover off to better see the spring/shock assembly. Let the countdown begin.

The latest e-mail you're talking about was indeed from the P5- while still in the building stage! If you wait 5-6 more days, we're all be saturated with pictures of the COMPLETED P5 from the LA Auto Show!
