True enough. Perhaps the question should be phrased as "How much of the $230M that you are short is directly related to the decision to build a proprietary engine rather than buy an existing unit? Of that, how much is for engine development, and how much for plant renovation and additional equipment?"

above you mentioned being able to "discuss the message rationally" .... to do so it helps to ask rational questions that are based on fact .... look it up, its been released several times, that the cost of the entire project is anticipated to be around $230M .... they aren't $230M short .... regardless of the fact that your question isn't grounded in reality, it serves no useful purpose to ask it here .... as I've responded to some of your prior post, you need to ask the folks who know the answer to such questions .... continuing to do so here is beginning to appear as little more than a mud slinging exercise

Why do you feel you have a right to know, and what does it have to do with "free speech"?
Part of "free speech" includes the right to ignore pests!
BLOCKING people who ask questions, is denying 'Free Speech', hope you can comprehend that. Elio Motors has stated; " we have adopted transparency", "As a company, we have chosen to bring you along for the ride as we develop and fine tune the vehicle for market" and "Each week we are taking you along on our journey by sharing some of our progress making your Elio." Just taking Elio Motors at THEIR WORD!

Think that might be the key word in that quote

Where did you get the idea that they were only going to use equipment that was already in the plant?
My understanding was that they had always planned to sell off equipment that didn't meet their needs, keep what would, and buy any that was needed. ,,
Incidentally, how do you know what exits at the Shreveport plant?
And YES, I have as much right to ask those questions as you have to ask you questions.
I DON'T know what they have at the plant (that is why I am questioning), but I do know that they did NOT make engines there, nor did they have the Flame Spray equipment to coat the cylinders, and Elio Motors has never 'addressed' this issue, except to [Delete] questions on the subject.

here again , crying about it here for an action taken elsewhere is pointless .... well that's true unless your goal is to just sling mud

Thank you Steve Okuma for setting up the forum with an ignore feature. It certainly makes my journeys in the forum more enjoyable.
those of us who are moderators don't have that luxury, you have no idea how much I type, then remember I'm a moderator and don't post :p

Actually, Paul Elio said (last week) that the project will cost $300 million.
