If You recall, Paul needs to trim 400 lbs off the P5 design to get to the production weight.

Looks like more is being added than subtracted ... but that's just from appearances. The reality may be quite different -- and I'll bet he comes close to it. Especially if the liter jug windshield washer reappears, and is not filled when you get the car (3 or more pounds saved right there)If You recall, Paul needs to trim 400 lbs off the P5 design to get to the production weight.

MONEY! Pay per view! How can We talk Paul into putting a live camera feed on the progress of the two frames.
On Harley's that vibrate a lot!Do properly installed bolts used something like lock tight to prevent their loosening?
Tell me about it; but I never used Loctite on my 42 45"; always Nylock nuts on everything, and you never reuse them unless it's an emergency repair. On Harley's that vibrate a lot!

It might be more of a space frame than unibody.Studying the chassis drawing and builds, it looks pretty clear that the entire front suspension is one unitized assembly that can easily be installed, dropped/changed with only a few connections. This is a great design/engineering feature that facilitates economical initial assembly, maintenance and repairs and may save a good many wrecked Elios from salvage.
Hopefully they can figure out how to include the entire drivetrain in that removable cradle so it all comes out in one piece.
I also don't see any tubular steel as in the prototypes...I am seeing conventional stamped sheet metal members creating a welded unibody.
Teasers from today's blog!!! Squeeee!!!
