Sooo back on standard equipment and options, I would have thought everyone would want cruise control as standard equipment. I am anxious to see at what price they will make that option available.

I am soooo out of touch. I didn't think having cruise control on a manual was even possible.I prefer a manual too because I like to drive a car, however, at some point in time you are unable to do so. Break a leg, etc.
Why wouldn't it? If you put in the clutch, it disengages; so you wait till you're in top gear, then set it.I am soooo out of touch. I didn't think having cruise control on a manual was even possible.
Like I said, "out of touch". I haven't driven a manual since 1988. Cruise control for me was listening to the tone of the engine and making sure the pitch didn't change. Why wouldn't it? If you put in the clutch, it disengages; so you wait till you're in top gear, then set it.
Silas Sunday did a Photoshop of one of these on an Elio, it looks really good.Like I said, "out of touch". I haven't driven a manual since 1988. Cruise control for me was listening to the tone of the engine and making sure the pitch didn't change.
One more kick at this dead horse, and then I'll move on. I found a photo of a Flying Tiger, and it struck me that if the wrap were limited to the snarl, you could use it on a black ELIO with the personalized plate, "SHARK".
Yeah, but, ... Dude! Everyone else in town will be driving a plain, old, everyday color Elio. You'll have YELLOW!
(I'm still thinking hard about getting an orange -- excuse me, "creamsicle" -- Elio and having tiger stripes painted on it.)
good 2 c u backOnly around 10% of vehicles made in North America now have manual transmissions. That number is expected to keep shrinking, according to IHS Automotive Consultants. Only 3-5% of cars purchased have manual transmissions. Perhaps EM could save considerably on inventory cost and lower the manufacturing cost by offering the auto trans only with a manual upgrade option.
