Yeah, but what are they changing for them?Pep Boys has them on the acces. shelves.
Always thinking ahead about the ELIO!
Remember the good old days when you put a "stupid" key in the door to unlock it ?
I am hoping I can get one of those.
That brings up an interesting question. How soon will someone modify their Elio to be a convertible? It sounds like something they would do in California. But I don't know what will be involved since you start with a unibody frame.I managed to lock my keys in my car last month on a quick errand. The first time in 42 years, LOL. Unfortunately I never got around to getting second key made (I bought it used and only got one key). Our insurance comes with free unlocks but still took about 90 minutes to get out and get it done.
As I posted on Facebook: "I hope he gets here soon, it is going to rain and I need to put the top up!"
That's the problem with the DIY convertibles; they just hack the roof off, make a top to cover it that doesn't work worth a dam because they plan on having the top down 95% of the time, and they don't both reinforcing the body; drive it for a short time; then dump it on Craig's List. And someone some where buy it as is. 6 months later you can't open the doors, and when you do finally put the top up, it looks like garbage, and leaks like crazy. I've seen hack jobs like this far too many times. They would come to me and ask if I could fix it. The quote ends up being more than they paid for the car. That brings up an interesting question. Stop holding back, Coss. Tell us how you really feel......it looks like garbage, and leaks like crazy...
Naahhh I don't care if someone does it. Marshall just asked "how long before someone does a convertible"Stop holding back, Coss. Tell us how you really feel...
