The top half of the rear back seat folds down to form a floor extension of the trunk floor.
Below the trunk floor is the rear wheel area.

Yes but the back folds into an area that COULD be used for cargo. Remove the seat cushion AND the seat back and you can load the floorboard, where the seat bottom was and all the way through the hatch area. not that I'm looking to carry around a bunch of stuff but probably 99% of the time, I'll be alone in my Elio. Why do I want to carry around the weight of the rear seat? At 20 lbs, it would be close to 1% of the weight...
