There are all kinds of technology and options that could be applied to the Elio but all of them violate one of Paul Elio's basic tenets - $6,800. If you want a vehicle with all of these perfect options just admit that the Elio is not for you.

They will simply have to pay a higher price to achieve their desirable version of it. The rest of us will get ours for $6,800. :-) ZThere are all kinds of technology and options that could be applied to the Elio but all of them violate one of Paul Elio's basic tenets - $6,800. So I guess people should just shut up and not discuss anything not the official company line. There are all kinds of technology and options that could be applied to the Elio but all of them violate one of Paul Elio's basic tenets - $6,800. No one is suggesting you shut up only that you should take time to use the forum search function and read all the threads on the topics so you are well informed about the development of the Elio. Understanding what it is about is as important as wanting one. I am not an Elio employee only a future Elio owner who has experienced several production delays and do not want any more just because there are possible options. I want Elio to focus on its core principles: 84 MPG, $6800, US made, 5-star crash standards. So I guess people should just shut up and not discuss anything not the official company line.
I'm almost ashamed to say, I have read probably every thread here and on other forums. I don't and won't post much. I know Elio says 84mpg, $6800, US made, 5 star, and delivery by...well whatever. Is that where discussion should end? Be a pretty skinny forum. I like to read what others think might improve the Elio and ways to individualize the one they purchase. I have learned a lot more than 84mpg, $6800, US made, 5 star. I, Sir, will remain an individual and do not wish to join any collective that does nothing but worship any thing, idea, or person. If wanting to read or write differing views about the this car means the Elio is not for them or me, I express my gratitude to you for clarifying this. Too bad I can't be another little worker bee.No one is suggesting you shut up only that you should take time to use the forum search function and read all the threads on the topics so you are well informed about the development of the Elio. Hi Sam, I think you have the misfortune of having come in to comment after a couple of months of very negative anti-Elio, you are stupid, what are you thinking, trolls so those of us who are true believers have become a little defensive. Believe it or not, we are not usually that way. Everyone is entitled to their views. I am one of the low income people Paul Elio is targeting. I do not commute to work because I am retired but I do travel 30-40 miles 3 times or more per week for shopping, swimming at the Roseburg YMCA, etc., and having that low cost vehicle that achieves 84mpg is very important to me. I hope you will return to visit and comment in the future. Diversity truly is the spice of life. :-) ZI'm almost ashamed to say, I have read probably every thread here and on other forums. If I can just add a "race" button I'll be happy.
