My wife ran outa gas no less than 5 times in one year. She just couldn't be bothered to stop and get gas. The last time I made her wait 3 hours in the hot Georgia July sun, until I closed my shop at the end of the day at 6:00. Notice I said the LAST time.....

She did NOT consider it interesting, nor an adventure.

I got a pump shut off for doing that. Mgr. said it was "unsafe" - of course, at a different station I was told not to back in, either. Again, unsafe. Guess which 2 stations I never darkened the door of again?

Both of these were while trying to fill the empty side of an old Chevy truck with dual tanks (one on each side).

Heh I still joke with my dad about that episode (my trucks gas gauge broke, yet at 250k miles it still has original brake pads...)

Every time he rides with me he asks about the gas and I look at him and say "another mile?"

The Elio is only 54" tall and standing at the back I can reach either side. Besides you'll only need 8 gallons every 600 miles or so.
