Scared About The Automatic Transmission

I definitely want an automatic BUT since
they still haven't even picked one at this
late date that scares the hell out of me.
When your in the final test stages you
should b testing the actual engine and
the actual transmission.
All of us early all in buyers r taking a big
risk n I except that BUT please please
minimize r risk. Put actual finalized parts
in the finalized test vehicles.
This tells me production isn't going 2
happen in early 2017. We'll b lucky if it
happens by the last quarter.

They made that decision a long time ago.
The automatic will be an Aisin MC5.
It's an automated manual transmission.
The manual transmission will be an Aisin BC5.

WilliamH has it 100% correct. Several ELIO reps said the same thing to me in June. It is a well proven 5spd auto used in the European version of the Toyota Yaris.

I agree why wouldn't the test with all the parts that is going to be used in production. Have they used this Transmission yet ?Or is this again what they plan to use. But it has not been fab up yet. Are the fleet sales going to have auto trans and stick shifts too. Did anyone here who the company are to be receiving the first Elios made for use. RT welcome to the owners forum.
