In the Army one of our favorite sayings at the EM club was "I Never went to bed with an ugly woman but sure woke up with a few!" The later it gets, the prettier the women are!:D
Darn glad I stayed out of the EM and NCO clubs

The PC police manged to drop the 'M' along the way so by time I came around it was just the 'E Club' even though what went on inside was pretty much the same as always. :D

The very sad news is that over the last decade nearly all the clubs have closed and it is now increasingly rare to find an Officers' club let alone and E or NCO club. :(

Military cut backs, they started messing with the benefits back in the 80's, followed by closing military bases and posts, then the clubs went. Now you'll find that your medical coverage sucks as well in the VA system.

During my stint at Beale AFB in the 90's much construction was accomplished of facilities for not just official business but MWR as well. New joint club building with separate O and E clubs plus a joint club for all.

Alot was just outdated and really far flung on a base where it literally was 10 miles from housing to the flight line for most people.

From some gates it was a good 4 to 5 miles to get to anything at all.

It just proves our education system isn't working. It's very apparent this person has failed reading comprehension! Oh and winning in small claims court, does not mean you will get your money back. It just means you won the judgement, its up to you to try and collect it, Good luck with that!;)
And, unless he lives in the same county in AZ he can't even file a claim!

Under current system VA just tells you to go away.
As for the club thing Like many at first I hit the booze. But quickly figured out that was not working walked away from it. Got on with what I was there for. Worked out ok for me in the end.
11B was a life for me.

It sounds like a non-refundable deposit. J.T. admits to making the non-refundable deposit then complains that he -I'll assume for convenience- wants "his" (not his anymore) money back despite making a clear agreement. He will take to libeling EM (bah, other acronyms here!) and seems to be contemplating committing credit fraud to get $1000. I understand being upset about the delays but I think this guy might accidentally commit grand theft, credit fraud, libel and extortion! His post on a scam site is a bit ironic.

I'm half tempted to start up a collection and get this guy his money just to shut him up.

But in return he has to send us his T-Shirt and bumpersticker... Oh and we have to draw up a contract that if it is built he has to order it the way we want it and sign over the title to us. That way we can post it on Ebay and sell it and get our money back. heheh

The Elio is going to happen and all good things are worth the wait. I've decided to get a new toy in order to make waiting for my Elio a little easier. I plan on traveling for three months this year and will purchase a 2015 Honda PCX150 scooter to ride on a rack behind my motorhome. This will allow me to have in and around transportation when parked at a camp ground. I currently have a Burgman 400 scooter but the weight of that one is too heavy for my hitch. I save over 200 pound going with the smaller scooter. When my Elio arrives I will purchase an enclosed trailer to tow behind my motorhome as my Elio garage when traveling. It's good to have a plan. Everyone hang in there and have faith that the process is moving forward.
