Not aiming this at RickD, but I think it is very unlikely that anyone will see THEIR Elio come off the line. It might be made at 7:15 am or 11:30 pm. Are you going to be there for 16 hours? How will you identify YOUR car? I would like to do like Rick says but I don't think it will be possible. What if the line is temporarily shut down and it isn't produced until the next morning? Just being realistic.

I was thinking that if I told them my production number that they could tell me about how far away mine would be made. Then I would just wait outside until it comes out or whatever when they are done with it. I'm just super excited!

That would be great but big business doesn't operate that way. I'm betting that no one gets near the plant until they are called and given a special permit number to get to the holding area to pick up their Elio.

It wouldn't be hard to get the schedule ahead of time. I followed a couple of S-10s down the line once. We knew their VINs ahead of time. Elio will only be working a shift at first which should be able to produce about 500 per day. It would be simple to identify your Elio as it came out of paint and onto the regular line where you could watch the doors and trunk meet the body and get assembled along with all the other stuff. It really wouldn't be that difficult to get someone there before their car starts its journey. Most would be happy to just watch the last couple of steps and watch their car roll off the line.

So about 100 units per work day. 20 work days a month, I'm 9506, so about 4.75 months, rounded up to 5 months. I want to fly down from Ohio and watch my Elio come off the production line and drive it to home. Between all the people talking to me about it if I have to stop for anything and the "Lookers" as I'm going down the road, it could take me about 5 months to drive it home! I only have one concern with the trip and that is snow. It depends on the date that production gets under way. Don't want to hit Ohio between January and February, but I will if I have to! I can't wait!!!

Reservation rate down to 59/day. I think this will be the new normal until more news related to engine or pre-production model comes out.

Unless Elio starts to show some real progress other than just getting in front of a camera then reservations are going to slow to a stand still. The next Elio photo op will be just like the others, all hype and no progress, good intentions but no concrete plans. When Elio is ready to announce a substantial investment in their new production facility or 10+ Prototypes or ANY other real progress, reservations will continue to bottom out. JMHO
