I'd go 1k all-in, but I want to pick mine up at the same time as my brother (and possibly my dad as well) and their budgets mean they won't go above the $100 level, so that is where I will be. We're talking about flying down together and roadtripping back.

My brother and I will do the same, fly to LA to pick up our Elios and drive back over several days seeing the sites, trying out local restaurants and showing off our shiny new autocycles!.

there are many posts figuring time frame from the start to about 60k units. It seemed with all the rush to get in early,, it should take a couple of months to get to the $100.00 folks, and with the 60k spread throughout the country, it'll be unique for a very long time- especially the 7 ugly colors being offered. Perhaps they'll see the light and go for -rhymes with mellow (awhile back, I took an oath I wouldn't mention the color-) well you know -My back-up the racing red.

If they hit the projected Q4 2016 production date, then I'm hoping to pick up my Elio around my 30th birthday (Late March 2017).

I must have missed something. Why does the word yellow seemed to be banned? It would make a great Elio color - make it very visible. Did Paul Elio's dad hate that color?

Nothing particular against yellow, it just wasn't selected to be one of the seven launch colors. Probably because it didn't poll as well or something. But now whinging about the lack of yellow has become a sort of inside joke, like whining about which side the gas cap is on or making a fuss over the exhaust bump.

But the Elgin dash is not in that list of "okay to joke about". The Elgin dash is SERIOUS BUSINESS.
