A few questions:
Are they waiting for the IAV engine, they have the block now, but 3-4 complete running engines?
They usually take 6 months between prototypes. (125,000 each) can they build 3 in 6 months.?
Will the P5 be a complete elio? I mean have a muffler, working parts like a real car.?
Will the elgin dash be in and operate?
Will everyone like the changes in the rear body, and trunk area.?
Will the new skinny tires be on the P5 or the P6 or P7.
Rogwild said they would make 18 prototypes, I think by fall..is that possible.?
If everyone says it would be almost impossible to fund EM by reservations, why are we sending them in anymore?
If we all give those flyers to all our friends and family, and the real elio doesn't come close to those numbers, who can we blame for giving us false information?
Do you think the AMT will be more or less than $850.?
I have several more, but since you seem to have followed this closely, if you can answer these 10 in order, some of us welcome your opinion...but be honest, ok?

I have the answer to all of your questions, because now I KNOW who you are...you're "Chicken Little".....THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FAAALLLLLIIINNNGGG!

Now how can that be? Chickens don't wear britches and this guy clearly has at least one mouse in his pocket. What is the name of that aggravating little pig dressed as a boy in the back seat of a soccer mom's mini van. It goes WEE WEE WEE all the way home.

Picture this... cutting pickets for a fence - getting the saw out of the garage or shop, stacking all the wood beside it, measuring to put the stops in place, and cutting that first piece might take an hour. But, that second one will take seconds...
I don't think Elio has shared their exact plans but I wouldn't be surprised if Technosports builds.several to the "almost done" point and then they ship them to Shreveport for "final assembly" so Elio can make a show of support to the Shreveport community. Since they've had the IAV block since February, they could actually have some ready for the prototypes. A good machine shop can put several motors together a day. Not everyone will be happy with anything... ever. I remember reading that the P4 had 14" wheels but the P5 will have 15" wheels. They didn't mention sizes other than they would be thinner than the P4 tires. I would be surprised if the interior wasn't the final version or at least REALLY close.

I can't speak for others but I put my deposit in to support Elio... also, I think it helps them by allowing them to go to potential suppliers and being able to say that they have 20,000 sold already. As a supplier, I'd be more willing to build dashes if I knew once I was tooled up, I'd be making 20,000+ versus just making a couple hundred. Plus, Elio can curb costs a bit since volume buys are almost always cheaper than small batch production.

In another note... It probably doesn't take Technosports 6 months to build one. It wouldn't make sense for Elio to build a new one every time they figure out a minor change they want to make. Perhaps they collect info for a few months, tell Technosports about the changes, and then they whip one out overnight (kidding - but it can't take too long since they have to make a living too)

Put the drive train in any of the prototypes and I will still buy it.

Ty, good thinking, but as an "owner" just think how a spy shot..(leaked by EM of course) would INCREASE THE AWARENESS and get more money coming and give investors the incentive to see the progress, and that EM is working hard to make this vehicle.
As an owner, and as a man who has 1000 people behind him, it is time to let EM know, we need to see some P5. Finished or not...painted or not, give all of us something to get really get excited about.
I am more interested in the rear of the elio and its shape and trunk area...but I bet the final version will look more like the Zap Alias than it does now.

Possibly. I wonder if the "no-one" on pictures is Elio trying.g to distance themselves from the perception that it is a kit or one-off thing. Perhaps they don't want to show the hand made nature that Technosports uses.
