Elio Addict
I agree. I really question some of the motives. It's one thing to have doubts. I think even the best of us has has some doubt creep in. But some seem to be on a destructive mission to sink what hopes are still alive. And some of them have deposits down. Why in the world would you not try to hope for and try to encourage the success of Elio?
What scares me is that I almost think I understand the motives behind this learned behavior pattern.
As a young man in my mid - late teens I worked as a stock clerk in a super market.
A woman with a child on tow would try to talk to a butcher about a cut of meat.
The child, feeling ignored, would start tugging at the mothers arm until she raised her voice.
Seeing that he (the child) got attention this way, the obnoxious cretin would tug harder and start yelling.
Which of course got the brat more attention.
Move the clock ahead and the obnoxious cretin now has a reservation on an Elio and wants to know when.
So the obnoxious cretin reverts to the learned behavior and starts pitching a fit.
What gets the obnoxious one attention? A public attack on Elio.
And here we are. An obnoxious cretin attacking Elio to get attention.
Too bad the child wasn't taken outside and given a good spanking.
We wouldn't be dealing with that kind of learned behavior today.
