The number is very important to me. I wanted to reserve one hundred and bring them up to Toronto ten at a time. Knowing the sales for New York and Chicago are very important for reference. It seems most of the people on the forum are from small towns.

interesting .... this is the first time I've heard of anyone thinking in that direction

I used to bring cars into Toronto about eight years ago . The price difference for a high end BMW or Mercedes used to be about twenty thousand and you could do it for about four thousand. BMW and Mercedes stopped honouring the warranties and charged five hundred for the recall letter,five hundred for changing to daytime running lights, and tree thousand to change from imperial based speedometer to a metric based one. They made you wait for six weeks to give the recall letter. The profit made it not worth my while. On the plus side,I still have an MGA and Austin Healey from the old days.

so, you believe it will be profitable to run the same type of operation with $7,000 vehicles ???

I was figuring that I could make two thousand per vehicle and bring up ten at a time. I presently flip houses and I am fifty eight with arthritis, need to get into something else. My son wants to go to Harvard which will cost about five hundred thousand Canadian.

By the time you start to reach your number(s), the car will readily available, maybe not in Canada, but I'm sure the Buffalo Store can work out a sweet deal for prospective purchasers to drive 'em home. On the other coast the Seattle store will welcome ya with open arms- put it on a ferry and away they go. Easier on our border to the North

You could try the low income strategy, take it easy on your joints too, and Harvard and a number of other Tier 1 schools with outrageous endowments will now just pick up the tab 100%. Even Bates, where my wife teaches, and which has a relatively poor endowment, hands out full scholarships in a surprising quantity.

until EM expands to Canada and sets up its own stores, you could have a good thing going .... they are supposed to put a Fleet Sales program in place .... it might be worth your while to look into it ....

I think it'll take a few months production to cover Harvard - not for me to know -McGill and U of Toronto are internationally recognized as outstanding schools

My present income would not allow me to apply for a low income subsidy,I might be able to after the second or third year when my income will be dropping bu about three quarters. Thanks for the suggestion.
