Elio owners will be able to schedule convenient service appointments and be provided with a courtesy vehicle for any extended service work. Oh wait, that's Bentley owners. Never mind.

It will no doubt take some time and patience to get the bugs worked out of what appears to be an excellent sales and service model.

In the vein of perfect honesty, the last time I had my oil changed ANYWHERE other than Ford was at Pep Boys. I watched the technician put my oil pan bolt back in using an air wrench. For the non-mechqnically inclined, that isn't good. I asked why they did that and the manager called the technician to the front. He denied having done it. So, I got to deal with the now stripped bolt the next time I changed my oil. I swore I'd never go back to them. That was in 1996. I know that was probably an isolated incident and will give them another chance. Other than that one time, I always had good service with buying parts. I only had them change my oil that one time because I was living in an apartment and didn't want to drive clear to the base to use the auto hobby shop.

Makes sense to me.

Yup. I've mentioned that a couple of times in the forum. I just saw.a bunch of "oh, I love Pep Boys" posts and was offering a counterpoint to temper expectations a bit. They are obviously capable of performing maintenance and I was merely offering a counter point. I think they will offer as good service as most manufacturers.and that is MUCH better than you should expect from a new manufacturer. Go Elio!!!
