I see today they are starting to re-negotiate NAFTA. Some details:

Negotiators from Canada, Mexico and the U.S. kick off an ambitious first round of trade talks today as the countries try to fast-track a deal to modernize NAFTA.

The timeline is for seven rounds of negotiations between now and the beginning of next year, as markets keep an eye out for fresh rumblings on trade protectionism.

U.S.-Canada-Mexico trade has quadrupled since NAFTA took effect in 1994, surpassing $1.2T in 2016.

Expect to hear more in the news (fake news?) with opponents and proponents voicing their absolutely right opinions.

If NAFTA was responsible for a trade increase, that's good for the continent, right? I mean, if NET imports are greater than NET exports, your country is basically becoming weaker/poorer. I know it isn't quite that simple but it's a decent estimate of what is actually going on. It's more complicated than personal finance but still - you want more coming in than going out. I saw that the other day............stinkin' Equifax.....now we all need to keep an eye on ALL of our financial accounts (which you should be doing anyway) :(
I do constantly, every month we look over every statement very closely and make sure nothing is an unknown.
That plus with the way big companies get hacked, seems that one or more of my accounts gets a 2 year monitoring at no cost.

But a lot of infections come from careless users, and that's not me. I run ESET and Malwarebytes constantly and run a blocker in my firewall, but the biggest thing is, I don't click hap hazardly on ads and websites, the trick is, pay attention to what you're clicking on.
And if an email looks strange, click, good-bye. I've taught my curious side it's just not worth it.
