Here's my nothing new yet report:

Nothing new to report!

I have been working night and day, 7 days a week, not joking on an interim project, and what i can report is I have developed some very interesting and more modern approaches to assembly that have saved time and money.

That doesn't mean a cheaper car, you greedy sods, it means more money in my selfish pockets, yay!

I will report on that method in a few days, just waiting for a special rivet gun I have ordered, to pull this type of construction rivet, and it better do the job for the price I paid for it

Thanks to those waiting patiently, nothing to report other than I do have an upcoming meeting with a car company owner, not managers, not the CEO, but the actual owner.

No promises yet, but things are an awful lot easier and faster if the owner says "yes" rather than fighting your way through middle management constantly.
In the meantime, another small delay as I have to move factory, I had unlimited years there but there's a new railway station going in just 500 meters from my factory so the whole area has been rezoned as and all the factories in the area have to be moved.

In the meantime in the factory doing some experiements with construction techniques, I have found fascinating and simple ways to replicate the chassis construction technique developed by Lotus over 30 years ago, using adhesives and fasteners.

Now 30 years later, the 'unavailable and expensive techniques' they used then, are now more widely available to someone like me, hence the post above about the rivet gun I now have, and the fasteners, and a whopping large air compressor now because boy does it go through some air.

I can attest to the durability of the polyurethane adhesive used by Lotus. I guess the first use I was aware of was by Jim Bede.

How about Porsche? As we all know, the front of a 991 is an aluminum front end and attached by rivets, bolts and adhesive to the center structure. Plus we all know that unless you are an approved Porsche repair center, they will not sell you the parts because they are concerned that you will not do the correct job. Thus Porsche would be liable unless it's repaired correctly. On the other hand, Porsche has to deal with 4 wheel safety standards. Thus with three wheelers are not under that scrutiny, so no big deal.
