Pretty much now Motorcycles have to meet same standards as cars. They have CATs in them EPA standards and they are enforcing them on manufactures. I don't care if ELIO does not get the mileage they had targeted. I don't care if it is not real fast. I just want to see that email that says Balance due. I will deal with any short comings when it gets here.
ELIO # 8019 Still has a home. Of course once it gets here I may give it to my Daughter.

I prefer that my daughter drive an Elio as opposed to the high performance Mustang she is presently driving. At the moment I don['t know how I will be able to pull that switch. Get a red Elio I suppose.

IMHO , going with a 3 cylinder Ford engine is exponentially better than rolling the dice on an unproven "Elio" design .
Seriously , Paul should have put this plan B into effect years ago .

Makes me wonder if they might be doing more than supplying engines. Using Ford's Dealer and service sites would reduce costs for Elio.
Buy your main vehicle and "and" vehicle in same place.

Does anyone know for sure that it is a Ford engine? If it is it would be a good choice . And if that is the case would that change the transmission choices. It may be more economical to have just one transmission for inventory and the line would be less complicated.

Elio entered into a MOU with a "Fortune 500" company to supply engines. Ford and GM are the only 2 engine builders on the Fortune 500 list that made sense.
