Paul Elio certainly didn’t do anything illegal. Paul led a highly successful Elio marketing team campaign and never promised delivery on his namesake concept. Oddly, the vast majority of reservationists chose to put all in non refundable money down on a concept they had never driven and no finalized specs.

Pe has wisely gone underground to avoid those potentially "unpleasant" encounters with any disgruntled, unwitting financial contributors to his current low key, but probably comfortable, lifestyle. I doubt that pe even lives in Phoenix anymore. I imagine he will live out the rest of his days in quiet obscurity. No doubt justifying his failed actions as "there's a sucker born every day".

Assuming Paul Elio has failed, what is the board of directors doing about it? Why are they so content to do nothing? The equipment in the plant is so old now that it has no value. While parts of the building are in use, I wonder if the Elio part is in dis-repair.

my pure guess is, they are very content to do/say nothing because of a fear that when it becomes official that the project is dead, lawsuits and "I told you so" media coverage will hit them hard .... I don't believe that any individuals have a chance to recoup anything .... companies and individuals owed money for work performed might get back a little
