Horse power.. sheep power etc.

Here's a true story - I heard it from the horse's mouth, as the saying goes.

An ex-colleague of mine had begun dating a very nice lady who was a keen horse rider. They were both invited to some sort of fancy horse riding event in the south west of England. He wanted to impress her, so he bought the complete riding clothing outfit; jodhpurs, jacket, hat, gloves, the lot. The weekend was successful and he was in very good spirits on the Sunday evening, as they drove back along the busy A303 trunk road towards London.

He was still dressed up in his new horse riding outfit, minus the hat. The traffic got heavier and built up to almost a standstill. As they slowly reached a lay-by, his good lady suddenly noticed a sheep with its horned head firmly caught in the wire fence, up the adjacent grassy bank. My colleague, being in a sprightly mood and obviously keen to show just how energetic he still was (in truth we're all getting on a bit), parked the car, ran up the bank, vaulted the fence and tried to free the poor animal. Now, he was no shepherd and had never dealt with a sheep before (or so he later claimed). It struggled very hard and he was concerned that it was going to pull it's own ears off in the wire. So, in an desperate attempt to calm and restrain the poor thing, he got astride it. In a few seconds he had the bucking animal under control and carefully eased it from it's wire prison.

Just as he was about to let the sheep go, he looked up...to see all the traffic stopped and dozens of eyes watching him....standing astride a struggling sheep, whilst wearing full riding gear.......

The new Hot Rod magazine has a couple of articles that might of interest here. On page 20 is a story of Volvo's 2.0 Liter motor with three turbos, making 450 HP. 225 HP per liter. On page 16 is a story of a Kawasaki Ninja 1.0 Liter motor making 300 HP. Seriously, 998cc four cylinder making 296 HP. And on page 18 is a story of Audi making diesel out of air, water, and electricity. What a crazy time we live in.
Re: Ninja 1.0 litre motor. And what's the probable life span of this screamer, measured in minutes?

aerodynamics of the E might just, with enough hp, and it's weight go airborne
It's actually been done by a guy in BC canada -- used a gasoline vaporization system to pre-vaporize the fuel. Got unbelievable mileage and all that horsepower; it was street-legal in Canada, and the videos were amazing; unfortunately, his garage burned down with his prototype etc, so all was lost. It was called the "alé" and here's the link: http://www.fuelvaporcar.com/html/the_car.html
