Hi all,

I am wishing for this to be ready sooner rather than later. I am going to have to buy a car in the near future and really want to wait for an Elio versus buying something else. My Sunfire has 221,000 miles on it and my Grand Caravan has 172,000 miles on it. They both run great but with me owning an Escalade at the moment, I was going to trade the other two in together for my next car.

If i have to get another used car, i'd prefer to have something with the GM Ecotec motor in it. (HHR, Cobalt, G6, Cobalt, etc.) I have thoroughly enjoyed the 5speed mated to the Ecotec in my Sunfire as its been excellent plowing through the snow these past 5 winters since I got it.

My colleague at work swears by her Cobalt, and she's commuting like I am, but lugging several kids which I am not (I've got just one), hers handles good in Maine snow, slush and winter crap in general.

Unfortunately some people on this forum have this issue. If everything does pan out you could buy a future version that is better and more refined than the one early adopters will buy.

My current car has the same mileage as 1 of your cars. I have no reason to replace it. it will serve me will over 300,000 miles. I plan to see how close i can push it to 500,000. It wont be in the junkyard till its truly dead or gets wrecked.

My current commuter car just turned over 250,000 miles, but is still under the factory Lifetime Powertrain Warranty, so I will keep it forever, I just want something with better gas mileage and fun to drive. Anyone know where I can find something like that?

I just spent $2200 on my subaru that would have been much better spent on a new Elio!
