Being patient and understanding of the fact that there are many details that EM can not and/or should not share publicly helps make things much easier for those of us following on the outside. It is easy to rush to judgment however it is also very easy to be wrong in those judgments considering the limited information we have access to and which EM is realistically going to share.

Along with NDA's, which of course prevent EM from sharing certain information, there is also the fact that in the long term view EM needs their partners much more than their partners need EM. As such EM is not likely to throw partners under the bus of public opinion, even if they may deserve the blame at times, as this sets a bad precedent for EM's relationships with all their partners.

I don't think I was liked to when I talked to Elio about this delay. IAV pre-empted Elio to deal with a major customer's emergency. What does it take to kill rumor and speculation around here? Jeez!

Funny. EM reps even speculate. It's all entertaining, good fun speculation at best. How can we stop it? I'm trying right this minute and can't stop myself.

there are some folks who will not accept what they do not choose to believe .... they don't want to be confused with facts unless those facts backup what they want to believe .

The one fact that is indisputable is that EM needs funding to get back on track to production. Plenty of time for engine testing and an official engine starting event that was initially scheduled to excite the Elio fan base.

The ELIO engine is a very important mile stone. The engine in the P4 now will not work for a production model. There seems to be no other engine on the market that would do for them. Investors ,even government people looking to get onboard with ELIO need encouragement . The Engine could a big motivator. Pictures and feel good press releases at this point worthless. Need smoke coming out of the exhaust.

agree and the tour along with the publicity form such things as the engine start event help keep cash flowing from folks making reservations which can help bridge the time until investor funding is in place

I can't believe bridging the gap with reservation money is sustaining the project- that says to me BIG problem. We can continue to speculate (the national past-time here).

agree, I didn't mean to suggest that it sustains the project as a whole .... the last release showed about 50 reservations per say .... I suspect that the money generated helps fund the tour and hopefully some other line items as well .... by doing so they help to continue part of the marketing which we are told helps with their private fund raising effort
