The problem with forums is they are 2 dimensional at best. As such, the dynamic often evolves into a groupthink environment, and various members choosing a role or personality to suit.

A new person enters into a discussion, and unless that dovetails within the groupthink, you are the immediate outcast, subject to a long predictable series of personal attacks.

From there as a new person attempts to explain or offer some details around why their opinion is that way, groupthink steadily rebels, takes it personally, as its disruptive to the clubhouse mentality. In that situation someone like myself is asked many questions, to support my position, attempting to corner me, or reveal me as some kind of maverick, rather than focusing on what information has been provided, to discuss, which is an attempt to belittle my presentation and presence.

Though I remain a fan of the design, I'm just not a fan of the company, or rather the management team in place. This company needs a team that can execute on managing the plant facility operations, and most importantly, managing the major funding deficit, both of which should of been nailed down a year ago. From where I come from you get fired for nonperformance on that metric. You can't manage business with designers and engineers, you need a business team with a WELL established PRIOR and successful track record. To secure next round funding, investors (ie; banks, private equity, etc, NOT reservations) are ONLY buying into a team that can execute on the plan, and NOT how cool the Elio is.

So far, plan execution has been nothing short of an embarrassment. This is my main issue, and I'm vocal about it, because I know how it could and should be done, and plus, I want an Elio, but this existing team is going to kill my chance of owning one. The team should be kept but left to focus on what they are good at, design refinement, cost reduction, etc etc, and let another experienced team immediately take this company to where it should already be, and that's when real funding has a solid chance to happen.

Don't think for a moment I don't want this to happen. My issue is not with the car, nor with people here, its with the mismanagement. Aptera can look back all it wants post mortem, but mismanagement killed that company as well, and the same tune is happening yet again. No one has to believe my opinion, resume, experience, insight etc, just do your own homework, and you'll spot the pattern in play, easy enough.
Additional psychic predictions;
12) EM team does not know how to execute on managing plant operation
13) EM does not have a well established prior and successful track record business team
14) I like the Elio
15) I don't like the EM company
16) I don't like the Elio
17) Shall we change the name Elio to whattheef?
18) Whattheef for President of Elio? :D

Had you started by introducing yourself as a Psychic, then we would have understood where you're coming from! Having said that, there's real psychic out there and there's those psychic in their own mind! Logic tells me you're the latter. You probably PREDICTED already that it's going to rain in your parade right? 'Just teasin'. Here's some of your favorite predictions and I quote:
1) It's a scam
2) It's NOT a scam
3) Funding is not going to happen
4) No one knows exactly what their funding options are
5) It's a Ponzi scheme
6) It's not a Ponzi scheme
7) The big automakers determines what gets made or not
8) My logic and experience says (or his psychic reading) this venture will be a colossal failure (arrogance)
9) This forum is a clubhouse for geeks (I'll have to get back for the meaning of geek as he just generalized that we all are)
Shall I dare add: 10) the next bigfoot sighting will take place? 11) the next loch ness monster will give birth to a baby loch ness?
Let me know if I missed or would like to add in your predictions! :D

You may need to get out of your cubicle for a stretch, that or your mom's basement, seriously.

It's our old friend 3 Card
I find this type of speculative discussion very negative to moving Elio forward in a more supportive and positive way. I think it's actually an op ed writer trying to divide the fan base and slow Elio's pre-reservation numbers in the process................hoping that early on negative anti Elio op ed news articles comes true...........while having some fun doing it..........yes fun. Perhaps all responding to his speculation are having some fun too, but I don't get it. Very confusing to new members checking out this FAN based site. IMHO

19) Whatheef knows how to execute the plan, operations and bring Elio to production
20) That means he also know where and who to ask for funding.
Please tell us "o wise one" your "own" plan in details from start to finish before we cast our vote as EM's new President?:D

Make a refundable reservation for your very own Elio and forget about your plan of buying electric car, seriously, even if you have the money to shell out 3x the price of an Elio, we know you're smart enough not to waste your money replacing expensive battery down the road. That's an advise!;);)

Nope, you're suppose to engage me with my latest post....that's called debate since you wanted one. I'll be fair. You've saying all along that you have the experience and the knowledge to get EM going since you're also claiming that their business team are useless, let's see your OWN plan and show everybody here how it's done! One time opportunity for you to reclaim your credibility that you're not just an EM company hater. ;)

I've become bored with this subject. If there is some varified, non-speculative data which appears pertaining to tthis discussion, I hope someone will post it elsewhere.

I'm hitting the "ignore" button.

Believe me you don't want to go anywhere yet.....not until whattheelf comes up with his own plan! I hope EM is reading these posts for THEIR SAKE!:D

Like I said before. This is a forum for like minded people to get together and chat about the Elio, there is no other side.

This is not a emotional debate forum. Emotional debates can't be won or lost and without the restraints of a face to face decorum and can only evolve into something less than desirable. People using the cloak of invisibility online, start slinging sh-t they would not face to face. So you can get like minded and hang around or go home.

Chances are, the butler is on his way, to show you to the door. :)
