What, you want fur-lined gear shift lever and maybe some cute calico curtains to hang across the back where you just see empty space when no one else is aboard?

You never know. Comfort can always be increased. I'm sure the production Elio will be plenty comfy, but you can always add to it. Maybe more cushy seats, little bit nicer interior (without getting crazy), nicer gauge cluster, etc. But this would all be secondary to higher HP with higher MPG.

I'll still hold out hope. About 5 year ago Bill Gates was helping a Chinese company build a 2cyl engine that was 100hp and 100mpg. Nothing has come of it yet, but there were designs made which can be found here: http://fuel-efficient-vehicles.org/energy-news/?p=1048. Seems like a cool little motor. Perhaps within 5-10 years of the Elio's release they'll be able to make an engine which has these power/mpg specs.

Could you imagine that engine in the Elio? It'd be like a hotrod while getting even better MPG than the IAV. That combined with the Elio body, you'd probably get 120mpg or better, and be laying down 6 second flat 0-60 times.
