I'm all about facts. It's a fact nobody has promised the Elio would be delivered for $6800 out the door. It's a fact nobody promised the base price would even be $6800. It's a target, not a promise. "GET REAL."
No one has said OUT THE DOOR. That's yours. But Paul has said over and over the price would be $6800.00.
Do you ever read the post before replying? :)

Um, I did read the post but apparently you didn't. The very first post in this thread: (emphasis mine)
next I would like to read someone admit you will NEVER drive away in a new ElioMobile for $6800.

"Drive away" = "Out the door".

Paul has never said the $6800 price is guaranteed. Show me where he did or be silent forevermore! o_O

How far back does $ 6800. Go?

I know that is what was what it was Jan. 2014.
$ 6800. + (estimate 3% inflation) = $ 7004. as of Dec. 2014 ?
Jan. 2015. $ 7004. + (estimate 3% inflation) = $ 7214.12. As of Dec 2015. ?

If that was to be true, then EM has met their goal.

This is all a guess.
When I went "all in" in Jan. 2014 I planned on ~~ $ 10,000. With the options I want.

You're absolutely right on! It's in their website for crying out loud! What's there to argue? Forget about EM saying they're close to the PROMISED $6,800., or EM is on TARGET to meet the $6,800.00 price! In the end, it's either they MEET what they ADVERTISED or it's false advertisement! Sorry EM. ;)

I agree jetpack54. I don't think they meant for it to be false advertisement and I don't think it will be. Paul may should have put on the site that they are working 24/7 to get the starting price at $6800.00. By just saying $6800.00 that says they have gone out on a limb and will have to stick to it.
I do know that a couple times working toward $6800.00 was what they were doing but for someone just to click on the site, put up 1000K and maybe later to find out that it's MORE then I guess they would think false advertising and would be correct.

You gotta remember that Wayne is one who would gripe if you brought out a brand new rope for his hanging.....
That may be true but I do like for you boys to get the facts right and right (as of

TC, you are correct. A new rope is stiff and scratchy, a used rope is soft and smooth. ;)

I don't think so too! EM's selling point on the ELIO has always been to deliver a $6,800.00/84 mpg vehicle, right? I don't read it anywhere that they've changed that. In all honesty, I could and I would pay more just to see it happen but why should I when EM firmly believes it can be done? ;)
