Very cool! I'm not sure why I'm so excited about this... maybe I've decided it's a milestone that says "this is really not a scam you idiots!"... a relic from my Elio Facebook page-following days.

From the above link...

"... The spots will air on national cable networks, including Animal Planet, ESPN News, ESPNU, Fox Business Network, Fox News, Fox Sports, National Geographic and Velocity."

I'm looking forward to seeing a commercial on TV for the first time.

I have personal experience with the principle of dimishing returns.
I'd say they did pretty well with years of running an "underground" publicity campaign.

So what is the point of spending this considerably large chunk of money at this critical time again?

A couple of days ago I stated that the cash that EM nets from our investments can blow by pretty quickly...

I haven't found anything on "normal" ad prices, but here's a price quoted for Fox's next presidential debate:

"Ad time in Thursday’s debate went for as much as $260,000 for 30 seconds, the person familiar with the situation said.
However, spots sold after Mr. Trump pulled out went for roughly $200,000, which is still a premium rate for a debate."

I also found that in 2004, a total of 21.53 BILLION was spent on cable TV advertising alone.

I'm just remembering back to when EM said that the surplus equipment at the plant...
Was going to be sold for so many times more than what the reality of the situation turned out to be.

Honestly, I'm all for progress. I just hope they really know what they're doing with this.

Seems a bit too soon for tv spots, and not even the P5?
I agree. Now that the $13 Million in investor money is in the bank provides more money to spend on marketing and advertising and not even a completed and tested P5. Also puzzling to me, there is no engineering and design freeze on what is a very simple vehicle design. I don't get it. I'm confused and disappointed.

Expensive advertising isn't progress. EM needs to advertise after they have a product to sell.
