Maybe the expense of advertising can be recouped by the additional reservations and stock sales the advertising could generate.
It's my understanding that all 'unqualified' stock sales end four days from now.
Gas is at a national average of $1.81 a gallon.
I'm still wondering if this is not a case of diminishing returns.

It's my understanding stock sales will be open to the public after the 1st.
I could be wrong, but I think that stock sales to the 'unqualified' investor public was opened on Dec. 2nd and the entire offer closes Feb 1st.

This is from the email I got from StartEngine...

"The wait is over. We received final SEC approval and you now how the ability to invest in the future of personal transportation. For all those who expressed interest during the "testing the waters" phase, your exclusive 7-day window to invest in Elio Motors opened yesterday at 3 pm PST. You will have until December 2 at 3 pm PST before all remaining shares will be made available to the general public. With the interest we have received to date, there may be nothing left.

Don't miss out on your opportunity to #AlterTheCourse of personal transportation. Visit https://www.startengine.com/startup/elio-motors to get started!

The securities offered hereby are highly speculative. Investing in shares of Elio Motors, Inc. involves significant risks. This investment is suitable only for persons who can afford to lose their entire investment. Furthermore, investors must understand that such investment could be illiquid for an indefinite period of time. Is EM trying to build up more reservations so they have a large back order to fill when they start production? I estimate they would go through the current reservations of 49, 202 in approximately 4.4 months. (Based on 19,000 the first 3 months and 22,000 each following month.)

Neither auto show has produced the avalanche of reservations I expected.

Perhaps they are worried it will take time to build up demand for their production rate of 250,000 per year and trying to increase their back order.

I thought that once the stock is listed on the OTC it should be available to anybody that has an account with a stock brocker and wants to buy stock.
The Regulation A+ stock offering legally ends Feb 1, 2016.

Is it a certainty that EM is going to list on the OTC?
Have they said that they are going to release (offer) more shares if they do list?

"Elio explains that as with a traditional IPO, the shares will trade publicly, “ Shares in Elio Motors will soon become eligible to be traded on the OTCQX, the top tier of the three marketplaces for trading over-the-counter stocks provided and operated by the OTC Markets Group. This will provide liquidity for investors who purchase stock through the Regulation A+ offering.”

“Elio Motors will close out the current Regulation A+ stock offering on Feb. 1, 2016, as one of the steps needed to allow for OTCQX trading,” he adds."

The shares may be trade-able, but who will be selling? If the price stays decent, I suppose some of the early investors who got preferential prices could bail. Buy the stock early for $1.50 a share, then sell as soon as possible for $6? (Or whatever it will go for. OTC stock purchases and prices aren't reported.)

"This will provide liquidity for investors who purchase stock through the Regulation A+ offering.”
It was my understanding that the start and end dates were legally set and binding before the offering was approved.
It was also my understanding that EM could close the offering early, but not later than the set closing date.
It is also my understanding that EM had to close the Regulation A+ out to be able to access the money.

This does not say whether EM themselves will be offering any more stock to the general public.
My impression is that they will not be offering additional stock to 'unqualified' investors for a while.
