My problem stems form my age and vision and not resistance to the look. I can see a traditional guage, but need TIME to bring digital or moving script into focus. That is time that I do not want to use while driving 70 MPH.

But in this digital age, replacing the entire dash with a screen which can be programmed for any preferred style or need shouldn't be too hard. Have it default to Elgin, but give me the option to use CLASSIC or ENLARGED CLASSIC for the visually challenged.

But these are now thoughts for the SECOND Model. I want everything to proceed to production at this point so changes have to be limited to critical issues from here to roll out.

Welcome to the 70% "hate it" club...

Or as some Statistically Challenged posters call it: The minority.

Sigh, 267 votes is roughly 1/2 of 1% of the current reservations. The no votes are closer to 1/3 of 1%. Statistically, this poll is meaningless and certainly provides no real quantitative value that should cause EM to change direction.

Does anybody know why this true? Is ELGIN a partner or something or is there a history with ELGIN?
Paul's father wore a "Lord Elgin" model watch made by the Elgin watch company. It is a symbol of Paul's father and this is how Paul Elio is honoring his father.

I have posted before that after the newness of the Elio wears off, people will hate the gauges as much as we do (including auto magazine editors) and some will start saying not only negative things about the gauges, but also snide comments his father. It is best to honor someone in a way that pleases people. It is a mistake to honor someone in a way that irritates them.

Unless you have a crystal ball that can show you the future, this is pure speculation.

We all have our own opinions and we are all free to share them. I disagree with your opinion and like you have posted my opinion previously but I have done so at a rate that is dwarfed by the prolific number of post from some very vocal elgin haters.

Maybe EM should offer a six month supply of Prince Valium to go with the Lord Elgin.

I don't think I have contributed to this forum before, but here it is the instrument panel from my Suby Baja
