we all know that there are "people" (a deliberate effort to stay out of the gutter and call them exactly what they are) out there whose mission in life is to do what is necessary to disrupt the progress of EM .... I have no doubt that they are highly motivated and committed to their mission .... fortunately, I tend to believe that they are few in number .... Start Engine does seem to be frustrating their efforts, frankly, I hope they become highly frustrated

I personally would like to increase their frustration with sharp implements inserted in tender spots. Our consensus seems to be that a handful of people are doing their best to destroy EM. I want them identified, sued or arrested, and stopped, but have no idea how to go about doing any of that. Trolls writ large. They have gone from nasty to harmful, and that goes way past the boundaries of free speech.

I personally would contribute to a "bust the trolls" fund.

I think you would find considerable support for your position .... the reality is, the most crushing blow that can be inflicted will come when EM goes into production .... then they will angrily slink away, probably trying to find another cause where they can focus their discontent

I agree! IMO, It is the same "class" of people who deliberately go out and set forest fires. People who have (in their own minds) NO control in their own lives. Ones who derive great pleasure from causing others to "jump." They don't care what direction people "jump," only that these "emotional cripples" can see a direct link between "their actions" and the "reactions" of others. Sad little people.

this morning I've been watching the crowd funding indicator on the Start Engine website .... early on an increase of 3 reservations resulted in a major boost in funding .... a couple of minutes later, they were gone .... since then the total of both reservations and funding has increased in an orderly manner .... until push comes to shove, we have no way of knowing what the numbers will show .... that said, its clear to me that SE has learned, reacted quickly, and is carefully monitoring the progress

Yes, JEBar, They are doing a fine job catching them. I noticed 'the three hits at a time' since yesterday. When it first started, it took SE over 4 minutes to correct it, lol. Now, they got it down to one minutes. Those people are earning their pay.
Speaking of commerce, how much are all those false bids costing elio. Time it takes to correct them just might equal real money.

Coming in a LOT more slowly -- only $40,000 in the past couple of hours. Makes me wonder if the slowdown is simply because the news flow has slowed, or whether because the "scandal" (rumors about the hacking) have scared people off. But all in all, I'd rather see us get there slowly with people who are likely to actually purchase their "interest" when the time comes than with people just taking flyers because there's no binding pledge involved.

Lily May, does your chart suggest the spamming has about stopped?

Yes, But I have been busy today and haven't checked it as often. You really have to sit on it and watch continuously.
Last ones I seen was this morning @11:00 and @10:00. for @$1,500,000.00 each.

It is nice that things have slowed down a bit. Both the bids and the forums. For those who haven't been watching Start Engine, I'll tell you, It is still getting closer to Elio's goal of $25 million dollars. It is almost at 90%. Maybe in the next few hours. It is very exciting to watch real numbers coming in. That manic roller coaster ride was madding. $22,342,149 was the last check. I am pretty dog gone sure Elio will meet it's goal by the end of the month. One bid at a time. Call your mom.
