I read it. The gist was that both SE and WayBetter (another crowd funding site) are vulnerable to troll attacks. Duh! And that, really, is about all it says, except that the author of the article liked the Elio campaign.
I finally got to see the article myself. The article does imply a whole segment of the internet community that might want to do the bogus placements aside from anti-Elio participants. Probably hundreds of reasons. Rats, I'd had hoped the Elio was more threatening than that on it's own merit! :-(

Since it's more of a wild west show this form of funding, the website will be even more responsible to guard and manage the whole process. And dark-Hat players will feel more freedom to play. I can see why Elio may not want that trouble and responsibility, letting SE take the heat if things get dicey.

Anyway, it's only a solid completion when SE tells EM and Em then tells the world. I'm not going to worry about it much from here out. Just get our P5 built, K? :-)

But where the security of the US comes into play no mater the aspect or reasons, the gov will react if they feel any threat. There have been some very small people put in jail for very long times. I would worry just a little if I was them.

Why does it not surprise me that people who will pay to get in line to purchase a pig in a sack, had great confidence in SE? This is comedy at its' best.

Eh, I have decent confidence in SE because of the resumes of the people who assembled it and because they were fast out of the gate when Reg. A+ became an option. There's an entrenched big three in the crowdfunding space, and they were quick enough legally and technically to pull the trigger, snag a high profile campaign, and set themselves up to have a high probability of making that a big four. They've already kept their heads above water as an accelerator for four years, and someone there is clearly thinking.

I don't know what you're seeing, but they seem to have a pretty solid grasp on wielding tech while covering for their continued advantage in untested legal territory so far.
