So... I wonder how the crowd funding actually went. I mean, I went 20% over my interest level but I'm sure several didn't follow through. I do wonder how close to $25M they actually got.
I think we're all wondering that. Probably won't know anything until the stock sale closes. Hopefully it'll make for a happy new year...:horn:

They have to be over 12.5 million for the sales to be recorded at all -- that's the minimum. They're also saying they have the money to fund the E-cars. So I'm guessing they're about 15-20 million or so today, and that will rise as people who didn't get the email or who are taking their time about finalizing go into the "general sales" pool. But that's only a guess.

Both the initial window and public sales are part of the same stock sale as far as the SEC is concerned. And there are strict rules about what can be disclosed while any part of the offering is active. I doubt we'll know any more than we do now until they sell all of the stocks or end the offering.

As I understand the rules, they can't make an announcement until they formally close on at least the minimum (i.e., the company gets the money from escrow). That's a material event. They decide on that timing.

What does this mean;

He will need better luck than Aptera Motors. The startup, which had developed an electric three-wheeler, folded in 2011 when the recession made it difficult to line up money from private equity firms and venture capitalists to match a low-interest loan from the DOE's Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing loan program, or ATVM.

I found it in ;

Is that something that might be a problem after elio gets their DOE Approval?

OMG Kathy Vincent is on new drugs. (in the comments)
