I appreciate that. But this is RegA+, new rules specifically for crowd funding start-ups. I do recall having a chat with someone at Elio about this and was told "we can't tell for sure, but most likely no more than three months from starting the campaign." I don't know if "starting" equals "submitting." But I am quite certain that the RegA+ rules are designed to less stringent in some and more in other ways than 506c (which does not require audited financials, while RegA+ does, for instance). But you're right that the onus is on the applicant to dot all the i's and cross the t's, and it's a daunting task. I'm sure the Elio folks have been on this tighter than ants on a sponge cake trying to get it done right and fast.

I'm sure you're right about the cost. Luckily, with Elio's level of interest at this point, $200K plus the $400K they'll owe StartEngine.com, it's a good deal for Elio/
True. The last chart shows the differences between RegA+ and 506C. It was an article about the differences and was written May of this year after the changes went into effect.

My understanding is SEC will move in less than two months, possibly only a few weeks, after receiving Elio's formal application.

On the Forbes video interview, they said their best guess was 45-60 days for the SEC to go from seeing the papers from Elio to approving them to ask for funds. And both Paul and the StartEngine CEO said they'd be in constant contact with the SEC to get 'er done.

I don't understand why the paperwork for the SEC is taking so long to file. They should have started it the first of JUNE. One of the last interviews with the guy from start engine said they had been working on it making sure the i's were dotted and the t's were crossed, the j's too. That was weeks ago. But, they are dragging this 'water test' out for ever. Yea Yea, they want as many pledges possible. But, the pledges are drip dabbing in. Money in hand is better than promised. Elio can't get the pledge money till the SEC paperwork is approved. SEC can't approve till the paperwork is filed. Why the pussyfooting? JUMP IN THE WATER ALREADY ELIO. I want to see that Stock Offer. What's in it? I'm hoping for something like a tax deferred IRA or another T-shirt? Too loose money that I never paid taxes on won't be as bad. I want to do something to push this along. I want I want I want ! Oh, I need another vacation.
I am also disappointed the P-5 wasn't at the Woodward Dream Cruise. The same shop built four of these vehicles. Shirley, they know how to do it and they got the money in from the credited investors, right?. What's the hold up? I tried to find out myself but was stopped in my tracks by a Beauty Queen (a female one for sure) at the shop.
I need another vacation.

If you consider a million every 5-6 days as dribbling in, well, you're right. I imagine they have the paperwork about ready to go, just need to plug in some numbers. Meanwhile, if you were getting, let's say, $1,000 a week from a Craigs List ad, wouldn't you want to keep it running a while?

it seems clear that EM had a sufficient influx of capital to build the P5 .... the crowd funding is supposed to be to build the E series .... with that being the case and seeing the pledges continuing to roll in, I can see why they might not be in a big hurry to end the crowd funding
