America needs jobs. Elio Motors (EM) is poised to create 1500 jobs in Shreveport LA. in a plant previously used by GM. They need an ATVM loan from the Dept. of Energy to get start-up capital. The Elio autocycle is projected to get 84 MPG and sell for $7300. This autocycle would restructure commuting and personal transportation in America. EM has plans for 90% of the content in the vehicle be made in North America, with the vehicle being assembled and built in the USA. Several prototypes have been built, and an engine has been created specifically for the vehicle.

I believe that this autocycle can have a positive effect on our energy usage and provide poorer people dependable transportation at one-third of the cost of driving a less efficient junker. I have invested $1000 non-refundable deposit as evidence of this conviction. I am one of the 63,000 reservation holders who has put down a deposit on a vehicle. Let’s get this ATVM loan guarantee to be approved by the DoE. Let’s get some manufacturing jobs created in our country and make America great again."
