You'll definitely enjoy your FUV in snow with more stability thanks to it's DUAL ELECTRIC MOTORS driving the 2 front wheels as opposed to one driving the back like the SOLO- that's the one important design (and safety) element EMV totally missed.
And I bet the FUV will beat the SOLO in the slalom run because of it too!

I agree the FUV will have better traction with it’s dual motor front wheel drive. However, I recall an early video SOLO prototype on the test track slalom run and it looked good, so all bets off! We should be experiencing our personal three wheeler slalom run very soon.

Great to see you got your FUV in the snow. So how comfortable is it when it's cold out? For example we get days where it's 15 degrees and 20 mph wind. How is it when it's snowing when it comes to the defrost and visibility? Then what about the hump that happens when it snows and they haven't caught up with the plowing yet? Then what's stopping like?

I’m a candyass and won’t be driving my three wheeler FUV in the snow and choose to drive my SUV on those nasty weather days. I wouldn’t drive my SOLO or Elio (&) in the snow either, since all serve to supplement the primary vehicle. On sunny 32 degree days when the streets are plowed and the roads are clear, I’ll definitely take it for a spin. Current owners report the windshield defroster/visibility and heated seats and grips work great and throw out a surprising amount of heat. Might even keep my FUV’s fully enclosed cabin comfortable during those windy 15 degree days. I’ll be happy to test it out and let you know.

LOL The whole Elio concept was based on economical, inexpensive, gasoline-powered personal transportation. "Three wheels" was more of a regulatory necessity than an engineering choice.

Motorcycles, running on gasoline, come much closer to meeting the economical, inexpensive, personal transportation goal than electric trikes. Between ElectraMeccanica and Arcimoto, they've put fewer that 100 vehicles on the road in the public's hands in the last 10 years. Motorcycles are more fun, and you can actually buy them. Even gasoline-powered trikes make far more economic sense than the ev trikes (which are still essentially unobtainable.

Had Elio succeeded, the gas-powered trike would have been far superior, dollar-for-dollar, than the ev trikes, which are also still mostly fantasy vehicles.

I continue to take the position that a gasoline motorcycle is more qualified as a "similar vehicle" than an electric trike. Unless by "similar vehicles" we mean vehicles that also were promised but never produced.

Right, but EV trikes aren't being built to be more economical upfront. They're built for fun, to be convenient (charging at home), and to lower emissions. So, there really is no sense in comparing them to Elio...at least the mission statement.

People have at least been able to purchase an EV trike, an Elio...not so much.

Furthermore, as far as motorcycles go:

Turns out the average motorcycle is 10 times more polluting per mile than a passenger car, light truck or SUV. It seems counter-intuitive, because motorcycles are about twice as fuel-efficient as cars and emit a lot less C02.

Motorcycle engines are twice as efficient as automobile engines, she notes, so they generally emit less carbon dioxide. But they emit large amounts of nitrogen oxides, which along with hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide are measured by state and federal air quality regulators to determine whether vehicles meet emissions rules.

That said, I've owned 3 motorcycles...and miss them.

I don't know what you missed but we're not talking about the Elio, or motorcycles, or which is superior- we're just comparing the FUV and the SOLO. And whatever position you take, EV'S are EV'S and ICE'S are ICE'S- they're not similar! Lol
I've got 3 ICE cars, one of them had 209k miles so far and still running like a champ- but I won't mind getting a tiny 3wheeler EV for mostly city driving that I can plug in once or twice a week AT HOME and totally bypass gas stations! Now that's what I call fun! And easy on my ears too!

Samuel, Arcimoto has delivered to date 70+ certified retail production FUV’s in the past 2-3 years since the Gen8 prototype reveal and is ramping production numbers. Lots of progress since that time: Sig Series & Beta Fleet testing, multiple funding rounds, manufacturing plant, tooling, employees hired/trained, FMVSS testing/certification, Rentail/servicing locations, parts suppliers, and a host of other milestone events to get to the 9.19.19 Retail FUV delivery roll out milestone event. Yes, lots of progress for a new vehicle startup in a relatively short 2-3 year period. Arcimoto is on the similar delivery schedule as Tesla Motors in delivering their first 100 retail production Roadsters.

Johnsnownw, Miss your motorcycles, give the FUV a test drive. You might consider buying one to supplement your Tesla’s.:)

Yes, both the FUV and SOLO are FUN with a dash of UTILITY vehicles. :)
