And "aging" reservation holders are the ones left to ponder how much more time they have to wait to get their 3wheelers. Been there, done that so no surprises here. ;)
There's always the Polaris and Vanderhall option for the people that must have a three wheeler. This past weekend, I took a test drive of a Vanderhall Speedster. This is because Vanderhall just opened up yet another dealer in our area. The only problem is it costs a fortune at $27K (you can buy three Elios and still come out ahead). It was fun to drive. At least it gave me a FWD, three wheeler experience as I drove a Slingshot a while back and it's RWD. Plus, the Venice GT is way too expensive coming in at $34K. I just don't understand why they keep opening up dealers for something that's so expensive.

you're totally missing the point! I'm not saying that we in here are "cheap" but this website was started for us wanting a "totally affordable" form of transportation in ELIO that can also travel at 84 mpg....which also led to it's downfall 'cause we still yet to see any 3wheeler with sub-10K price. I'm now doubtful that EMV can actually sell the SOLO for 16K that includes A/C, automatic, power windows, etc. and make money at all. All eyes are now on Arcimoto who's about to deliver their Evergreen Version at 20K (correct me if I'm wrong) leaving those who wanted the base model to wait again.
Let me say this, I DON'T HAVE TO OWN A 3WHEELER THAT IS PRICED LIKE A REGULAR CAR!

We can't wait to see a picture of you being handed the key to your very own Evergreen Edition! It looks like EMV hit a snag because there's no new shipments of SOLO 2.0 at their China assembly plant and whatever it is they won't admit if it's tariff problems, funding problems, production line problems, etc. And "aging" reservation holders are the ones left to ponder how much more time they have to wait to get their 3wheelers. Thanks! I’ll post a frameable photo soon. :) With that said I’m still waiting for the official retail production start announcement too and I’m numb to surprises. I do know that tariffs are not an issue with chineses goods shipped to Canada and the Chinese manufacturing facility looked awesome. One would think sales revenue would help with any funding issue. The biggest piece of the SOLO reservation pie is likely China.

They recently sold the first 4 SOLO 2.0’s for that advertised price, one of which was the longtime SOLO #13 reservation holder. I had email chat with him and he is happy as a clam. Hang in, you will be rewarded.

That was a relief hearing that RickB! Where did you hear about this or even got to chat with #13??? But anyhow, it's good news it went to a legit reservation holder and not another company.

#13 was a long time member of the original SOLO Owners Forum way back when. We had recent Facebook conversation about his long time wait and finally taking delivery of ‘Red’ a month or so ago. He was excited to say the least. As excited as You and I will be, I doubt it! :)

I guess that makes sense. An Evergreen costs $20K and you can by lots of cars for that price. There's not as much of a selection but the same for the SOLO. When it comes to range, who'd want something that goes 100 miles on a tank and pay $5K more? So I hear you. Pay $5K less, get 4X the mileage and it's a regular car (i.e. 2020 Nissan Versa). This is why the Elio is the only choice. It gets 672 on a tank and costs only $7450.

RickB should have stayed with the Elio. Now he's going to be suffering with all of that FUV all while we can all be enjoying waiting for the Elio that might be happening in 2012 or is that 2022?

I suggest that RickB gets a holder for his cell phone and then makes a few videos while he's FUVing around. It looks like the FUV has a roll cage and thus many companies make phone and camera holders that fit on them. This way we can see his suffering.

It's all about the choices we make. Do you want to enjoy and have fun NOW, or LATER? Does the price matter to you to have that FUN? Are you still young and can afford to wait...or are you too old to wait to have that FUN? Strictly speaking for myself only, I will only buy a 3wheeler that makes sense to me financially. I won't enjoy it too much if it costs more than I can afford which is my bottom line.

3wheelin, There is an enhanced 2018 silver direct-from-Vancouver Solo with 2300 miles on it up for grabs RIGHT NOW at a Washington state dealer for $14,900. Didn't you see the post I made about it with all the information? Fully ready to be registered in the USA to a US citizen. You could have flown out and driven back. The dealer website says it's still available. Maybe you still can. Our friend Janet from Virginia flew out and test drove one of these recently. Even Janet gave it a resounding thumbs up with the caveat that, like most three wheelers and especially those with RWD, it's a 10-month-out-of-the-year vehicle for those in mid and Eastern North America North of the Mason-Dixon line. If you grab this thing your wait will be over and you can have your fun.

100mi range.
