It would/will be great news if/when Arcimoto gets #19 delivered to you! After the recent announcement that certification compliance testing was successfully completed, I expect delivery as soon as the filed paperwork is processed for the official FMVSS tag release and #16 rolls off the assembly line. “Stay tuned”. I’ll post a photo after I take delivery to end the Elio Owner’s Arcimoto Thread. It’s an edge of your seat moment.
The validation testing process that followed the beta builds and the 15 engineering vehicles sent off to the various private testing labs was a 10+ month long process for both the FUV and the SOLO. It would likely take the same amount of time for the Elio to certify following EM’s finalized engineering specs to include the engine, beta builds for test drive events and daily use testing, and the 15+ engineering vehicles for lab testing required to certify the retail production model role out milestone. One would assume EM’s factory would be tooled, employees hired/trained, and parts inventoried during the lengthy validation testing time frame. Apparently it’s not that easy to get a three wheeler motorcycle to production.
A realist’s note: If Arcimoto is forced to file for bankruptcy during their cash burn production start period and the economy continues in the current downward spiral, then my Evergreen Edition #16 delivery date moves to the 12th of Never and that’s a long, long time.
We can't wait to see a picture of you being handed the key to your very own Evergreen Edition! It looks like EMV hit a snag because there's no new shipments of SOLO 2.0 at their China assembly plant and whatever it is they won't admit if it's tariff problems, funding problems, production line problems, etc. And "aging" reservation holders are the ones left to ponder how much more time they have to wait to get their 3wheelers. Been there, done that so no surprises here.I was apparently trying to cut in line with #16...........I’m waiting on #19.
