I agree. Pursuing a lawsuit at this time would be counterproductive. Yes, it has taken much longer than everyone anticipated, including Paul Elio, but they are moving forward. Lets see where it goes.

Elio could turn to vaporware late this afternoon and there is no grounds for a lawsuit. Stop whining and live with it.
The end is near and nobody outside of EM (or even inside of EM) knows how it will end. I'm ass.u.me ing that we all live happily ever after and the high risk investors retire as millionaires.

The "petition" is for starting a class action lawsuit, not getting to production.
Well, let's see...
How many million is Elio in debt for?

Hmmm. OK, now let's say that a thousand people jump aboard and file.
Riddle me this... What is negative 70M divided by 1000?

Keeping in mind that the answer would also probably be skewed by...
A judge ruling that qualified investors would get paid first if there was anything to pay with.

You generally sue people with deep pockets.
You shouldn't sue people with empty pockets.
And you really shouldn't spend time and money...
to sue those whose pockets have liens against them.

Is this a really stupid Idea? You decide.

Actually there's only about 30 people who signed on to the petition, so -$70 million is a great tax write off for them..... on second thought, yawn.

See? That's the problem. Even if you win the class action, you'll end up owing the lawyers and court! It's a negative settlement, with the only positive gain to be made by plaintiffs' lawyers.
