I don't think a back hatch egress would be feasible in an Elio (unless your head was on fire and your ass was catchin' - Charlie Daniels). The rear seater would have to somehow fold down the rear seat to get to the opening with no room to move left or right, and by the looks of Paul poking his head out of the rear in one of the famous Elio pics, you'd have to be pretty lean to pull it off. Sunroof, on the other hand, may just work.

Nah. Gonna have to take the minivan for that one! :D
Actually. Now that I think of it. I'm normally serving in the AV department on Sundays, which means that I need to be there an hour before the rest of the family. So I'll be alone (probably in my elio or my truck as it's fun and doesn't get driven during the week) and the fam will meet me there in the minivan...

I do the media on Sundays too. Way to go sir :D

I'm quite sure that for costs there will be no rear window, which by its absence will fuel the naysayers I will opt for the "louvered" plastic accessory displayed by one of the first approved vendors to give the appearance of a window beneath the plastic.
From a big 215 lbs 12/07/2010 - 38 tight jeans - to 145lbs, loose 32 waist, (BM! <20), aside for the change of my health, I can now add getting out of a burning e thru the sun roof. Is a moonroof longer? well, time for some herbal tea, with Organic Blue Agave.
Just an aside, I wind up living over a local cafe, noted for their 3 egg omelets and accompanying meats. (rents are super expensive here, and was fortunate to find a "reasonible" place- When I was in Florida, my annual taxes, car insurance, and food bills were less than the rent here!!- Upside, my fist grandchild is due in November. Two years ago, if she was to have her child, would have been without me- she was in Uganda working for the Gates Foundation, I ramble.....

Congrats on the weight loss and upcoming grandchild! And I didn't realize until now that we have something else in common. I too like Organic Blue Agave! [I know, I know...you're talking about the low glycemic index nectar stuff. But this would go better with your "special home-grown brownies". ;)]

There are a lot of places just outside of Seattle that the rents are a lot lower; right now you're in one of the "preferred" neighborhoods and I can only imagine what rents are there.
Or you could go over to the U-district and hang with all the college kids; Cherry Hill used to be a bad part of town, but they were just cleaning it up when I moved out of Seattle proper and went down to Kent.

aside from my grunts, I am where I want/need to be, and I know I pay a premium. Moving from the land of the living dead (south FLA) I needed something more spirited, and alive. My kids are nearby(Green Lake and Cap. Hill, it's a financial stretch -she who wanted to be obeyed, got 1/2 my pension and S.S
eats up 1/2!!- so far weather is perfect, but very short daylight and nasty will be a major adjustment.
