You are right. They are only going to build prototypes through the number 30.According to EM, there are only going to be 26 more Ps, not 30 more.
Maybe I was the only one confused by your post, but 4 of the 30 Ps already exist.

They aren't yet announcing a "go" for the whole P series. The idea all along was that the P5 would be used for manufacturing take-off, so I'm sure you're right about that. And I'm willing to be that if there are 30, 25 will be used for testing, and the other 5 for marketing. But getting them all built in three months, with all the engine parts having to be hand-machined (which took months last year), is pretty unlikely even if they did have all the P-series funding in hand.
The answer is probably a little more in the middle... my machinist could mill an engine block in about an hour. It won't take too horribly long to do the milling once they have the process down from the first one.
Sure would be neat if you WERE right, and maybe you will be!
Another very poorly done story by this outlet.Elio Motors Finally Gets Funding to Mass Produce Three-Wheeled Car in 2016!

True. When I got the Google alert for this story, I didn't even want to post it here. It just wasn't right.Another very poorly done story by this outlet.
It's very confusing and misleading.
PE may have pulled his PR act together, but it's a shame that he can't control how he's represented in some of the media.
I like the body changes a lot but still think the wheel pants are just too ugly and will gladly give up the gas mileage for the fenders shown on the silver prototype. My wife, however, could only come up with "It looks like it's saying "Huh?". That's the world I'm in.
The big question is how long to build the P5. Someone stated a few months which could be in the 3 to 11 month range.I don't have time to read 12 pages of comments, so this may be asked elsewhere in this thread.
It took this long to get to P5...how long is it going to take to get from P5 to P30? Human life expectancy, you know...
I'm waiting for someone to get the same idea for wheel pants as they did for the P6E Hawk. You can see I've already stolen the tail markings on my avatar.I like the body changes a lot but still think the wheel pants are just too ugly and will gladly give up the gas mileage for the fenders shown on the silver prototype. When I first saw the article, I got excited, then felt the same disappointment after reading it. Guess you have to concider the source. Couldn't resist passing that momentarily adulation along.Another very poorly done story by this outlet.
