Thanks! Hang in there Coss, Seattle will be ok I think. Does Wilson need to get rid of the ball more quickly? I know he can scramble really well, but maybe he holds on to it too long, I dunno. The Rams defensive line is really good, maybe the Hawks o-line will be better next week.
I hope so, they couldn't be much worse; Russell was getting nailed in the backfield and I wish they would get a better TV view of downfield. I don't know if the coverage was that good, or Russell was just target blind; he never went for anything deep. But The Rams started out playing with the intensity level cranked up to 150% and they couldn't keep it up; that's why we got all the points we did in the second half. The Rams also had a number of injuries during that game, I wonder how many are going to be for more than a week.
We play Green Bay next week and that's always a crazy game.

I know Eli got paid by the Giants, but... DANG boy, should you stop the clock on 3rd down? Dallas was out of timeouts, and Romo became on the following drive the QB to lead the most 4th qtr comebacks in NFL history; Eli is a veteran, he should know better
  • why does Manziel continue to look a bit lost at times? He needs to realize the NFL defenders are very fast and can't be outrun; good luck to him as he starts most likely week 2
  • how did the Lions lose at San Diego? By giving up 23 2nd half points. Philip Rivers does it again!
  • when this rookie season ends for Mariotta and Winston, which player will have had the better season? Notice I didn't say which team, 'cuz right now, the Titans look like a better team; but Mariotta did play extremely well, and Winston: not so much. It's only one game, I'm anxious to see how these 2 top draft picks do for the season
agree about Eli .... I look forward to hearing what he says in the interviews he will have this week

agree about Manziel .... I haven't been a fan of his since seeing his arrogant attitude toward his college coach

when Rivers was drafted Coach Chuch Amato at NCSU said he would prove to be a top pro QB, that all he would do is win

for my money, Mariotta is a better quarterback .... hate to say but Winston came across at Florida as a thug with little regard for others

enjoyed your analogy of weekend one ..

side notes :

Marcus Mariota is 1st rookie to throw 4 TD in a season opener since Fran Tarkenton in 1961.

not being a fan of Johnny Football or Jameis Winston, I wasn't the least bit upset as seeing their teams go down
Absolutely agree. Actions speak louder than boastful arrogance and Marcus proved it.

The court of public opinion says the 49ers defense will not be good. But is it bad enough to make the Vikings (the Vikings??) a favorite over the home 49ers? If Adrian Peterson has anything to say about it... yes.

As a near Minnesotan (geographically speaking) I agree. MN is kinda a one man show offensively until they can prove otherwise. But when AP is on his game, that's plenty. We shall see...if I don't fall asleep before it starts...

Well I found out where Seattle's defense went to ........ along with our DC ......... To Atlanta
The new head coach for Atlanta (Dan Quinn) was our DC for the last couple of years, and watching Atlanta's defense tonight is just like watching Seattle's defense for the last couple of years; they are kicking butt on Philly.
So far it's a pretty one sided game.

sat up and watched all of both games .... this morning I'm wondering why ???? .... both games provided flashes of good play but for the most part, it was pretty much ho-hum

VERY interesting observation Coss, I'll trust you on this, it makes sense. Wow, the Falcons will be happy if this continues.
