Not being a motorhead, I had no idea who Rousch is. Then I saw where Rousch built the new Domino's Delivery Fleet -- the Dominos DXP

If by some chance, Dominos is one of the Fleet Buyers, I could see them put in a similar access door to the rear seat area and remove the back seat and replace it with a warmer and storage area. It would certainly get plenty of abuse quickly.

These vehicles are called "preproduction". Is that how EM justifies selling these vehicles before the Spot IN Line people?
Let's remember that these 100 were never intended to be sold to those with a spot in line.

Incorporated into the launch is the plan that the first 125 vehicles produced will not be sold, but utilized for internal purposes.
Offering Circular at 17.

Other than these 100 vehicles going to a few fleet owners rather than being used internally, I don't see any significant change in the plan other than that they will produce some revenue. Or rather, lower the cost of getting test miles on them.
For those who were thinking, I'm sure we all realized that we wouldn't get our vehicles until 2017. And if we didn't realize that, we were probably just engaged in wishful thinking.

Is this why I have never received and email from EM telling me about selling 100 vehicles to someone else ahead of me who probably does not have a Spot In Line? Were they afraid this would make me and others upset after all these delays?

(If they have a Spot In Line, it probably would have been mentioned.)
Hey. I'M usually the grouch here...
But I have no problem what-so-ever with a measley 100 preproduction vehicles.
Even if they had "jumped ahead of me" (which they had not).

BTW... If there were even a specific buyer (or buyers) lined up yet, it probably would have been mentioned too.

And it's just my layman's opinion...
But using those 100 for racing makes absolutely no sense...
For the advancement of producing a non-racing commuter vehicle.

after extensive research, with no modifications, I believe a large pizza will not fit in the 14" trunk floor space laying flat.. It was however determined that selling calzones and heros would resolve the problem.
It could be a bit "messy" to insert/remove it through the door

Yes. But they will fit in the back seat area and thus the need for an access panel. The drinks and napkins will work in the trunk space.

However, I got this notion that they could serve crawfish pizza...or crawlfish pizza.

ps Just fold the back seat down and I think that will work for those who choose to pick up their pizza to get out of delivery charges. Waste not, want not.

I acknowledge racing is not the most logical explanation of these vehicles, but it is the only way I can think of avoiding the liability problem, other than selling overseas.

You say something interesting: "BTW... If there were even a specific buyer lined up yet, it probably would have been mentioned too."

I am beginning to wonder if I should just forget about the elio. Some already have.
